Mornings in the Clare Valley are simply spectacular and with the wonderfully warm days comes the ripening of fruit and our winery is all systems go with tempranillo picked, crushed and developing, shiraz is now the same and in between we have taken delivery and commissioned our new wine-press, all ready just in time for riesling 2013 ….

A flirty grenache rosé, super nice on its own or try a refreshing aperitif, rosé over ice with soda, slice of lime and fresh basil. Perhaps pool side with a cool glass of dry white is more your style. Perhaps a chardonnay blend with semillon & muscat for delicious citrus and stone fruit flavour. Enjoy the taste of summer, with the last of our 2011 riesling – almost sold out but not quite, a romantic aromatic with a dry zesty finish.

Produced from the Crabtree Estate 1946 planted grenache vineyard block and known as the “Bay Of Biscay” vineyard due to the soil type. A heavy sticky, black clay that holds moisture well. Not ideal for red winemaking but ideal for our rosé. Handpicked, sorted and retained on skins for 48 hours ensures full flavour and a distinctive blush hue. Lifted aromatics of strawberry and floral spice with layers of red berry flavour and a juicy fresh acidity. Vibrant and refreshing, enjoy slightly chilled with mountains of fresh tapas.
Produced from our estate grown Hilltop block fruit, the fruit was handpicked and carefully selected to retain the freshness and punchy citrus fruit flavour, this wine shows lifted floral aromatics and a crisp and clean palate with soft acidity. With careful cellaring should mature gracefully for 10+ years. Serve with spicy Thai dishes.
